Assistant Manager-Arkansas Division
In 1981 Karen began her career in the oil industry when she joined the team at Port Cities Oil in Fort Smith. Originally overseeing the books for numerous convenience stores, she eventually became the office manager. She was responsible for customer service, dispatch and inventory control, as well as acting as the liaison with various lubricant and fuel suppliers. Karen has attended several levels of sales and technical training with Chevron, Conoco/Phillips, ExxonMobil, BP/Castrol and Quaker Chemical. In 1992, she left Port Cities to become one of the original persons responsible for opening the Fort Smith location for B&M Oil. She served as Office Manager until 2010, when she was promoted to Assistant Manager. She is a member of STLE (Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers).
Karen has been a member of the Arkoma Basin Oilfield Fishing Tournament (ABOFT) since 2002. The Tournament, held every year for active and retired members of the oil and natural gas industry, is an official partner with the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Karen serves as the Tournament Secretary. A native of Fort Smith, Karen is involved in several community projects in the city and surrounding communities.
